Microprossers & Microcontrollers • Lab Reports
It was the mid of December when our online classes took pace . But it wasn't until February we got to experience our first Microprocessor class. To be honest, the classes were really confusing for us for the first few days, we couldn't grasp the concept because it was something brand new ! We've heard about the term "assembly level language" and "Hexcodes" all our lives, here and there. But we never got into it because we always thought about it as something complicated and scary. Syntax like 'mvi, lxi or inx' was really complicated for us for the first few days and we felt lost. But later, as we got more deep into it and got to know it better, it felt like the most easiest thing in the world to the extent that solving programs on a microprocessor board had become a fun game for us. We have learnt microprocessor initially, microcontroller came later, towards the end of the semester. And to tell the truth, it was one of the most interesting subject we ever came across.

We started our Numerical Method journey near February. Since we missed the first few matlab practical sessions, it led us to do the practical in python for the rest of the semester. In our first class, when we were being taught 'lagranges interpolation', we wondered whether this subject is similar to mathematics back in highschool. But as days went by, we realised this subject teaches us shortcut methods to solve problems we did back then. Each wednesday we waited eagerly to learn a new method and implement it in Python. It was fun to match our theoretical answer with the one we got from our code. That being said, Best of luck for your journey in this subject. Our Sensors and Actuators practical sessions started in the middle of February, 2022. We were eager to learn more on this subject as we were supposed to learn, as the name suggests, about various types of sensors in this lab which can be considered as the core of robotics. This lab was kind of similar to the physics lab that we experienced back in highschool as we got to experiment on potentiometer ,LVDT, LDR and other topic that we studied back in highschool. Being conducted on each Tuesday, the lab sessions were loads of fun. We got to handle different instruments and devices that we only read about previously. Connecting them together correctly in order to get them to work and to extract the correct values were fun as well. That being said, Best of luck for your journey in this subject.
